How to Calculate Weekly Hours
When you already know daily totals, weekly hours are the sum of each day's hours. Enter decimal hours (8.5) or h:mm (8:30) per day and add them together.
Formula
Daily hours = Decimal or h:mm entry per day
Weekly total = Mon + Tue + Wed + Thu + Fri + Sat + Sun
- Enter hours worked for each day you worked.
- Leave days off blank or at zero.
- Sum all daily values for the weekly total.
Example Calculation
Eight hours per weekday (Monday–Friday), weekends off.
Worked example
Mon–Fri = 8.00 h each
Sat + Sun = 0 h
Weekly total = 8.00 × 5 = 40.00 hours
